At 2pm today, February 22nd, Water Protectors will be forcefully evicted from camp and face arrest, jail time, and police brutality.

In response to the call for media attention made by Water Protectors, and a member of the American Indian Movement’s request for a press release backed by students and educators from institutions nationwide, we aim to use our affiliations with colleges and universities across the country to pressure media sources to cover the events of Standing Rock. With this in mind, we have drafted a press release that we hope to have co-signed by students and educators throughout the United States.
The press release went out at 3:00 pm today, February 22, but the petition results sent to the media are live updating. Please get as many individuals, student organizations and college departments to sign this release.
